It is always a pleasure for the population of Menton to witness the arrival of all these vehicles: trucks, cars, buggies, motorbikes… It is also all about the human and convivial aspect of this race which races through the city of Menton.

Solidarity and unity, the AFRICA ECO RACE is a rally at the origin of our values and this must remains... A big congrats to Jean Louis and René for having the vision of keeping this race alive, a traditional race, from Europe to Dakar, and making it the success that it has become today ! SS: Mhamid / Assa: 497,44 km An experimental category within the race field allowed a Yamaha-based electric prototype motorcycle to compete in 2017, ridden by Arnaud Jacquart. Liaison: Teverit / St Louis: 284,54 km, Sunday 19 January 2020: Stage 12ST LOUIS / DAKAR: 291,97 kmAssistance : 291 km, Liaison: St Louis / Niokhob: 229,67 km Technical and administrative checks will be held in the French city of Menton on January 4.
SS: Assa / Sidi Laroussi: 385,38 km Ullesvalseter followed less than five minutes later, with a time of 48 hours, 51 minutes, and 29 seconds. First for Luis Oliveira, The Bloodhound LSR Is Embarking on Its First Test Since the Project Was Saved. Rally raid events are fun, and it’s events like this one that keep pushing racing forward, instead of staying stuck in the past. What this means in terms of logistics and vehicle shipping for rally competitors remains unclear at this point, but the organizers seem determined to make the rally happen.

Competitors will have two days to meet their rivals, liaise with the organising team led by Jean-Louis Schlesser and René Metge, familiarise themselves with the GPS/ERTF navigation equipment and attend the general briefing and meetings on board the vessel. But be reassured, many new tracks will be revealed. After Scrutineering in Menton on 3 and 4 January 2020, the vehicles will be placed in parc fermé, quai Antoine 1er in Monaco. The 7th of January, as soon as driving off the boat, the serious stuff will begin for the competitors who will be racing near to 4.000km of special sector threw mind-blowing landscapes to finally join the “Lac Rose” on the 19th of January 2020. The ferry, from the shipping company GRIMALDI will arrive … For 2020, the Africa Eco Race spanned over 6,500 kilometers (almost 4,039 miles) of mostly sandy tracks and dunes between Monaco and Dakar.
The Africa Eco Race caravan will then board a new ferry from shipping company Grimaldi and embark upon the Mediterranean crossing to Africa on January 5th. To fully appreciate the experience, the rally will set the bivouac there and race its only loop stage of the rally.
